Seamus McGreal is Principal with Landmarks Planning Strategies. He is a senior planner (MCIP, LPP) and a heritage professional (CAHP) with over 20 years of experience in undertaking increasingly complex planning and heritage projects. He has worked with all three levels of government and non-government organizations. Seamus has led major planning projects, including the implementation of community plans, programs, and Heritage Conservation Districts.
Seamus currently serves as President of the Atlantic Canada Association of Heritage Professionals: a society dedicated to promoting the value of heritage conservation and to maintaining principles and standards of practice for heritage consultants in Atlantic Canada.
His most recent professional awards include:
- 2023 CAO Award of Excellence for outstanding contributions to public service in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
- 2023 Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals Award of Excellence for Heritage Education, Awareness and Scholarship for Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church Commemoration
